Sir David Castle ***

Location

Balatonszepezd is situated on the northern coast of the Lake Balaton, it is about 160 kilometres far from the capital, Budapest. Balatonfured and Badacsony are within easy reach. The castle stands on a hill in front of the Szepezdfurdo beach, about 100 metres far from Road 71.

Hotel

The building reflects the typical features of the traditional Irish architecture, it was built in 1906. The castle has been operating as a hotel since 1995 (when it was fully renovated). Currency exchange, safe (at the reception), restaurant, closed, guarded parking lot, Internet corner, laundry, bike rental, massage, garden chess and an outdoor swimming pool (in the park) serve comfort. The hotel awaits guests from April until October. Pets are not allowed.

Rooms

Guests can stay either in suites or rooms. The rooms have the size of 20 square metres, equipped with bathroom (shower), they overlook the park. The Honeymooners' suite (60 square metres) faces the park, it has a bathroom with hydromassage bathtub, a bedroom with four-poster bed and a living room. The Castle suite (80 square metres) have a nice view of the Lake Balaton, a bathroom with bathtub, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a balcony. The Balaton suite (100 square metres) has the following facilities: bathroom with bathtub, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a balcony, which offers a superb view of the lake. The Sir David suite (100 square metres) overlooks the Balaton, the equipment includes a bathroom with shower, two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, tile stove and balcony. Hairdryer available at the reception. Non-smoking rooms can be requested. All rooms have a television with satellite channels.
