Puchner Castle Hotel ****
Location
Bikal is situated in southern Hungary, at the foothill of Mecsek Mountains, 185 km far from Budapest. It is an ancient village, which was mentioned first in history in 1325.
Hotel
The castle was built by the Puchner Family in neo-classical style in the 1840’s. The buliding – surrounded by an enormous park with a lake and ancient trees - was added to the Architectural Heritage List in 1979. The hotel opened in 1996 was renovated in 2005. Spa house, sport centre, grill terrace, childrens' playground are just some of the hotel’s countless services. The conference centre can be the home of conferences, business meetings, banquets up to 400 persons. Pets welcome.
Rooms
The 3 floors of the hotel represent 3 different styles of rooms: aristocratic blue, lively spring green and English with small flowers. In the French-style Spa House we can find 5 modern rooms (including one apartment). On each floor of the guest houses there are 4 separate rooms, connected by one large living room with fireplace, fridge and television. Ideal for friends and families. All rooms and apartments are air-conditioned and equipped with bathroom, telephone, television and minibar.
